It Takes a Village

Mindfulness & Self-Compassion

Artwork: Alice Neel

Good morning beautiful people,

I hope that you are safe and healthy, wherever you are in the world.

These newsletters tend to be repetitive, somehow bringing up again and again, the same topics of compassion, acceptance, presence, and togetherness. The reason why we all need to hear these themes regularly is because of our brain negative bias. Ie. We tend to forget what is for our wellbeing and instead remember what make us alert to a threat that may show up.

So today, just for a second, I will keep it short, and remind you to reach out, especially if your negative bias is acting out. What if it took a village to feel safer and stronger? What if it wasn’t about doing it alone any longer?

On this note, I will invite you to take a deep inhale and feel the air going through your nostrils.

As you breath out, letting go of everything and anything you longer need.

My eyes may be blurry right now, but I have faith. Faith and deep belief that when we come together, magic happens.

May we all see the magic in all that we do.

With love and deep respect.

Vanessa
