Interconnectedness
As i start writing this newsletter on a full moon in Aquarius, I don’t want to go into writing and preaching about how to live our lives “mindfully”. People who know me, also know that i do my best to grow, but that i am goofy, can be judgmental and am far from perfect, (i am basically HUMAN). When i strive for “perfection” i simply become disconnected from what is, from others and from pleasure.
Radical Acceptance
We are now more than halfway through the summer months and it feels so delicious to be warm. People all around are alive and kicking, our senses are somehow intensified and pleasure is in the air. Yet, when it comes to work, it also feels harder to sit in front of a computer, to think too much or to even do admin.
The Bliss of Silence
I write to you coming out of a six days silent meditation retreat in Granada, Spain. I can actually write for days about being in silence and coming back to the present moment, catching my mind going into one of its many crazy scenarios. So no talking, no eye contact, and still, everyday a different story or some sort of narrative clearly asking for an ending.
Sweating Our Prayers
Sitting meditation is not for everyone, and practicing presence can also be done whilst washing our hands, walking, running, dancing or doing any form of exercise that enables us to be in our body. I guess any form of practice that pierces through the noise in our head will do wonders.
